A Media Entry

I think every creative person at one point in their career is faced with the same question from non-creatives: Where do you get your inspiration? It's a loaded question and I'm never sure how to answer it.

Year after year Apple puts out great ads. I mean, that's how we all know them, right? As a great company with great advertising. We all aspire to come up with unrivaled ads, websites, overall brand strategy and anything creative that we can get our hands on. There is one Ad campaign that I will always remember watching when it debuted in 1997, and it has always been a true source of inspiration for me.

The whole concept of "Think Different" was a turning point in their advertising. It highlighted for all of us, to never stop pushing and never give up on an concept that you believe in. The pull-at-your-heart strings, emotion rich ads don't always work, but this is one in particular resonated with the public.

So it is good to be crazy, afterall.

A Miscellaneous Entry

We were asked to create an advertising campaign for one of our clients, Glatfelter. This awareness campaign is to educate members of the publishing industry about the importance of using Permanent Paper. Click here to check out the website.

Glatfelter has created a paper that keeps book paper from fading, deteriorating, and ultimately disappearing. As part of the campaign, Sync Creative created the following materials: identity, logo, website, and several print ads. The campaign focuses on the idea that literature and the written word should not be treated as disposable items. We used novels compared to disposable items such as old pizza boxes, newspapers, discarded coffee cups, and toilet paper to emphasize that notable novels should not be treated in such a way. The website sends users to a petition to fill out and show their support of the initiative.
